Portland is a two-day haul up the I-5, and Pro Express runs it as a dedicated load: your things are the only shipment on the truck. The same crew that wraps the furniture at our Burbank yard drives the 965 miles north and unloads in Oregon, so there is no warehouse transfer and no shared trailer. Your price is one signed California flat rate, and the overnight is built into the schedule, not billed as a surprise.
Route & timing
One freeway, two driving days, with a planned overnight stop for the crew.
- North on the I-5 out of the LA basin, over the Grapevine and up the length of the Central Valley.
- Past Redding and the long climb over the Siskiyous into Oregon.
- Through the Rogue Valley and down into Portland off the I-5 corridor.
- Roughly 965 miles, about 15 hours of driving split across two days.
Flat-rate bands
The flat rate covers the full two-day run: crew, fuel, mileage, tolls, and the overnight. Andre sets your point in the range after walking the inventory over video.
| Home size | LA to Portland flat rate |
|---|---|
| Studio / 1BR | $7,295–$10,500 |
| 2BR | $10,500–$14,500 |
| 3BR | $14,500–$19,500 |
| 4BR+ | $19,500–$23,500 |
Basic coverage is $0.60 per pound at no cost; the $1M cargo policy and full-value protection are there for the longer road exposure.
What to expect
Across two days, the run tends to go like this.
- Day one, morning: load-out in LA, furniture padded and inventoried, truck on the I-5 by early afternoon.
- Day one, evening: the crew stops for a legal rest north of the Valley, load sealed overnight.
- Day two, morning: the Siskiyou climb into Oregon, dispatch tracking the whole way.
- Day two, afternoon: delivery in the Portland area, placed by room, beds rebuilt before sign-off.
On a two-day move the load never leaves our truck. Same lock, same crew, both mornings.
This Oregon long-distance move is priced and driven in-house on our own trucks, so you deal with one crew from the Burbank load to the Portland unload. Reserve the date with a $100 deposit or start a flat-rate estimate, and the Los Angeles dispatch line stays open at (888) 278-9005 if you want Andre to talk through the two-day plan.
